Maybe it’s the recent bad press for the NFL or maybe it’s just a change after years of going with the same play, but Audi made Super Bowl news this year by sitting out the opportunity to run a commercial during the big game. Turns out BMW has decided to follow that strategy instead, running an ad for the i3 starring former Today Show hosts Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel. None of that was really newsworthy on these pages, that is until Couric went on the Today show in order to talk about the commercial… and her Audi. More…

Audi A4 B9 To Debut e-quattro Says Car Magazine

Audi currently runs no less than four different versions of all-wheel drive under its legendary ‘quattro’ nameplate. Though not exactly traditional, each are effectively conventional systems devised around the concept of internal combustion. However, with the oncoming of electric motoring in mind, Ingolstadt is readying a new e-quattro system and plans to debut it on the next-generation B9 A4. Versions of the upcoming TTQ are also said to get the tech.
