Adding international intrigue to the Geneva Motor Show this year was Dutch sportscar manufacturer Spyker. The little marque that could has survived grandiose yet failed efforts to purchase an F1 team and then later a sickly Swedish maker of hyper eccentric automobiles known as Saab. Each of those strategies proved unfruitful so the focus has [...] More…
If you’re a car enthusiast with Legos around the house, then you’ve likely thought of building your favorite Audi. Cars like the boxy 70s and 80s era Audis may even be considered a piece of cake when constructed in the form of the plastic toy blocks, but what of the curvaceous Audi R18 LMP racer? In the spirit of this week’s 12 Hours of Sebring may we submit this ultimate R18 Lego build by Sicil from Russia. More…
Yesterday the Audi UK YouTube video dubbed “The Duel” and showing an ultimate paintball battle between two Audi RS 4s went more than its fair share of viral. It wasn’t exactly rocket science that playing with two of Audi’s burly RS wagons, massive paint pellet cannons affixed to the hoods, paint grenades and even a [...] More…
Basic use of the term “2.0 TFSI” might just be a little bit overly simplified… and maybe a little misleading. Saying the new Audi S3 is powered by Audi’s 2.0 TFSI, and even one with an as-of-yet seen stock power level fails to tell the story. With the new S3, Audi is ushering in the [...] More…
When it comes to automotive advertising during the Super Bowl, Audi is a bit of a veteran. The brand came on strong several years ago when it cut the “head” off a Rolls Royce in an attention-grabbing spot about the R8. Over the years since then it’s continued the strategy as other car companies have [...] More…

A few weeks ago word leaked out of Ingolstadt that the R8 e-tron project had been put on hold, finding itself in sort of limbo. A lack of technological advancement in battery technology and some other matters caused Audi to re-examine the project of producing an electric R8 as its first e-tron model, though it appears that doesn’t mean that the project has entirely stopped. The project remains a grand technological learning platform for Audi and as such Ingolstadt recently released more information on the R8 e-tron. As you can see in the accompanying pictures, it exposes some updates including the facelift components that have been applied to the newest production R8 models. More…
Every year Fourtitude endeavors to create a perfect gift list for Audi enthusiasts. Items on this list may range from a couple of dollars to several thousand, and easily purchased to more unobtainium. Some may be obvious Audi goods, while others simply follow a similar philosophy like Audi ultra lightweight design or tailored customization similar [...] More…
It’s a very poorly kept secret that Audi is keen to maintain its strong leadership in the field of lightweight design. The ‘ultra’ branding Audi has applied to it and its key positioning within the brand’s motorsports efforts communicate this quite clearly. So too do behind-the-scenes lightweight production mules such as an aluminum chassis Audi [...] More…
It may surprise you, but what you see here is not an R8 e-tron. Yes, it is an electrically powered Audi R8, but it is not one of any number of R8 e-tron prototypes built by Ingolstadt while the company was readying those cars for production. No, this car instead is an idea platform, an e performance project… a research car. More…
If all you noticed about the Audi crosslane coupe concept revealed last week in Paris was that it was a targa three-door crossover, then you’ve missed a lot actually. During its presentation, Audi brought brand design boss Wolfgang Egger out to emphasize a few things about the car – a move that suggested more of [...] More…
