Audi Recalls 850,000 A4 Models over Airbag Issues

The Reuters news agency is reporting that Audi AG has issued a recall of 850,000 A4 models worldwide due to a problem with the airbag. At this point the recall appears to be voluntary on Audi’s part, and the Ingolstadt car manufacturer has emphasized that it is not related to the massive recall being issued within the industry for Takata-sourced airbags fitted in many other brands.

Audi México: New Training Center Opened

A great moment for Audi México: Over 300 international guests today celebrated the opening of the new Training Center, among them Audi Board Member for Human Resources, Prof. h.c. Thomas Sigi, Audi Board Member for Production, Dr. Hubert Waltl, Governor of the State of Puebla Dr. Rafael Moreno Valle, President of the Universidad Tecnológica de Puebla, Dr. Jorge Guillén, Vice Director for Regional Development of the National Science and Technology Council, Dr. Elías Micha Zaga and German Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, Prof. Dr. Maria Böhmer. The modern building will in the future host over 1,500 training courses a year for employees and apprentices. This advance qualification is laying the foundations for the start of production of the Audi Q5* successor at the new plant in San José Chiapa. Audi México will be recruiting a total of some 3,800 employees by the end of 2016.
