Just in case you haven’t tuned in to NBCSN to watch this morning’s Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, Andre Lotterer started strong and picked up some positions, though his race is now over due to reported engine failure in his Caterham F1. What a shame.

AutoSport magazine has published an interesting story this morning, suggesting Audi WEC factory driver and 2014 Le Mans winner André Lotterer may compete in a Caterham F1 car at the Belgian Grand Prix. While the WEC is on its summer break period, Lotterer has had time to explore other things including Japanese Super Formula Championship with TOM’s. He’s also set to run the Audi R18 at a Misano test this week according to his social media posts.

I’m powering my golf cart as much as someone can power a golf cart up the access road to pit-out at Sebring International Raceway. There’s a right-hander to enter the photographer’s track, but no one is there to tell me I’m being an idiot and I blow past it and turn instead onto pit-out. At once I realize the error of my ways, glance back and see no one behind me, and behind that an Audi R18 resting in its pits. I bring the cart to a screeching halt and scramble as quickly as I can back to the safety of the photographer’s path.
