On sale this weekend in Scholl Dyck, this 1983 Quattro is expected to bring 35,000 to 45,000 Euros. Although the color can only be described as beige, it is still a well-kept example. When you think about it, a comparison test of the Audi RS 7 and the Tesla Model S P85D with Ludicrous Speed option is a square off just waiting to happen. Both cars, handsome 5-door hatches that are unlikely and sultry forms for luxurious executive sedans, represent the most aggressive of their pedigree but with decidedly different technological strategies aimed at nearly the same goal. We suspect there’ll be plenty to debate over two recent stories by Jens Meiners. The German auto journalist has filed two reports, one in Car & Driver and one in Automotive News, suggesting quattro GmbH boss Heinz Hollerweger confirmed rumors like the death of the manual transmission, more differentiation, more SUVs and EVs from quattro GmbH. There’s a […] More…

Longtime fans of Automobile Magazine or car design in general need no introduction to Robert Crumberford. The former designer turned writer pens a monthly column dubbed By Design for the magazine and has been doing so for as long as we can remember. As closet design fans, and what Audi enthusiast isn’t, we’re regular readers of his work and take particular interest when he turns his critic’s eye toward Audi as he did this month with the prologue concept. Here’s an interesting bit of traffic legislation that’s come across our desks from the state of Pennsylvania. One of the things we hate about being new media in a world still run by largely old media rules is that we didn’t get to drive the new Audi RS 3 Sportback just yet. You see, the European press got a stab at hooning them in the snow and such in Finland, and sharing […] More…

We’ll be honest, we’ve been lucky over the years to drive some pretty insane cars. From the latest RS-models to prototype test mules and even concept cars, Audi has been most generous to us in allowing us to get behind the wheel of some ridiculous cars. Then again, we think all of this might pail in comparison when it comes to Jason Harper who recently got to do some laps at Misano in the 2014 spec Le Mans winning Audi R18 e-tron quattro #2.

Over the last week and a half you may have been noticing Audi TT and TTS reviews spilling forth from the usual automotive outlets. We ran our own first of several last week, though it seems Automobile’s Georg Kacher has upstaged everyone just a bit with not only a TTS review, but a comparo with an uber rare 1958 DKW Monza coupe.
