Last year as Audi brought the facelifted A5 coupe to market, it also introduced a a special edition called the A5 S line competition. If you’re familiar with the TT of the same designation then you may see where this is going. The car features gloss black accents, titanium wheels and is effectively a more blackened appearance than the black optics package that’s been a regular configuration in most markets. That model has been on sale in Europe and we spotted one in Ingolstadt back in October. And, while that’s all well and good, we’ve learned today that the A5 S line competition will be added to the North American order book as well.

Below is the summary provided to dealers. We’ve augmented this story with photos of the European market A5 S line. Some details will be different though most of those will be limited to wheel choice (Audi’s “tri-fives” in Titanium finish) and the delete of the European license plate at the front.

Worth noting for those watching the details, the car will not be available in Samoa Orange as is the TT S line competition. Further, it appears that interior seating will be Alcantara and not the S line spec fabric depicted in these European market spec photos.

Audi is excited to introduce the A5 S line competition package, beginning with  MY2013 production.
