One of the most unmediated ways to experience speed is by falling down a slippery hill on slidey slats. Chances, if you like that, you’ll like driving, which is why Audi invited some of the best downhill skiers in the world to the Audi Driving Experience.
The event, held at the Audi Neuberg high-tech complex this Monday in upper Bavaria, gave the stars an opportunity to drive the Audi RS6 Avant and the R8 V10.
The athletes drove the cars on the dynamic course and the Neuberg handling course, proving that they can change direction on tarmac just as easily as on snow.
The skiers are some of the best in the world and include Lara gut, an Alpine Ski World Cup winner, and Henrik Kristoffersen, a Slalom skier. The others are Viktoria Rebensburg (D, 3rd place overall World Cup) and Kjetil Jansrud (N, 2nd place Super G World Cup) as well as Ski Cross Olympic gold medalist Jean-Frédéric Chapuis (F), Benedikt Mayr (D, Freeride World Tour) and Combination talent Jarl Magnus Riiber (N).
