With the Spring Equinox out of the way and Sebring’s 12 hour contest complete, its time we turn our attention to the FIA World Endurance Championship. With competition from Porsche and Toyota showing impressive pace, Audi Sport has gone to great lengths to enhance its R18 LMP1 car for the 2016 season, adding more electric power (moving to the 6MJ class), additional aero, and countless other enhancements made in the name of outright speed.
While we saw and read all about the new car last year, tomorrow’s unveiling is equally important, as the livery will undoubtedly make changes much easier to see, and additional technical details will likely be noted. Also of note, the reveal comes just days before the FIA’s World Endurance Championship prologue in Le Castellet, France, where all 2016 WEC LMP1 competitors will be together for the first time.
Those interested in watching the event live can tune into www.audimedia.tv at 9am EST tomorrow morning, or follow along on the various Audi Sport social media pages.
Those more interested in hearing the thing will have to wait until April 17th, when the 2016 FIA WEC season kicks off at the 6 Hours of Silverstone.
