Craigslist and eBay sellers are often known for their cheek and/or optimism, but this British seller is taking things to a new level with this 1994 rolling shell Lamborghini Diablo.
Now, rolling shells can get pretty ridiculous. A 69 Charger with nothing more than wheels can cost tens of thousands of dollars, but this Diablo is being offered for the eye-watering price of £100,000.
Admittedly the owner says that this car comes with 95% of its parts, so putting it all back together should be a breeze. Better yet, he predicts that a cool £5,000 should get you the rest of the parts, too.
I hate to be pessimistic, and I’m the first to admit that I know nothing about Lamborghini ownership, but I once drove by a dealership and they charged me more than £5,000 for the pleasure (which I thought was odd, because I wasn’t even in England).
But still, £100,000 is quite a discount for a Lambo, and this one has what the auctioneers like to call provenance, having once been owned by a nameless prince of the United Arab Emirates, so maybe it’s all well worth it.
Although he says he’s disheartened by the thought of restoring the Lamborghini, the owner says he’ll struggle through it, with the price rising as he goes and eventually reaching £200,000 when he’s done.
Maybe Ryan Tuerck will buy it before then and turn it into another drift car.
