SEMA 2015: Even More Audis We Didn’t Highlight on Their Own

With the number of Audi models ever-growing at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, we’ve decided to pen a post that is the catch-all, highlighting all of the cars we haven’t posted a dedicated story for. Consider these highlight cars, sometimes with a lower degree of mods and more likely with a lower degree of awareness of what’s been done to the cars.

Here’s the run down.

Liberty Walk Audi R8 Spyder Ride-On
Yes, it’s a child’s toy. Yes, we’re featuring it. With no less than three widebody R8 coupes on display at SEMA, Liberty Walk certainly grabbed a lot of the headlines when it came to Audi at the SEMA Show. If you count this Spyder ride-on, that actually qualifies as four.

Essentially Liberty Walk took an Audi R8 Spyder ride-on readily available at Toys-R-Us and the like and then applied their widebody design to it… albeit in scale. This isn’t the first time Liberty Walk has made a matching mini-me for a client, but it is the first time they’ve done it to the R8 and it certainly won us over.

Allroad Outfitters Audi A3 Sedan
Allroad Outfitters staged a bit of a “takeover” outside the Las Vegas Convention Center. Regular display car owners may know that it’s not easy to cluster cars featured on the grounds of the venue during the show. Fortunately for Allroad Outfitters, they got their SQ5, S4 and this S3 in at the same time and each sat end to end just outside the main show hall.

In the case of Allroad Outfitters’ A3 sedan, the focus was on the beginner tuner. While many cars at SEMA are the stuff of fantasy, this A3 sedan is built more like many enthusiasts might build their car. This included H&R Super Sport lowering springs, RAYS forged 19×9.5 G25 wheels, Toyo Tires R888 in 235 35 19 sizing, APR Stage 1 ECU tune, Aerowerks Carbon rear spoiler and Thule Aeroblade roof rack cross bars with Canyon basket.

Compass360 Racing / 034 Motorsport Audi TT RS Racecar
Late last season, 034 Motorsport joined Compass360 Racing to field this Audi TT RS in the Pirelli World Challenge. Compass360 had been competing with S3 sedans all season, adding an R8 LMS and this TT RS towards the end of the season.

Road.Street.Race Audi S7
Consider this one of the more mild Audi models on display at SEMA. Effectively, it’s a dark matte wrapped S7 Sportback wearing RSR Wheels‘ new R-703 wheel design in square 21×10.5 fitment.

Mike Skeen Pirelli World Challenge Audi R8 LMS
Among the many Audi R8s on display, Mike Skeen’s was a standout. Why? It was the only race prepped R8 LMS. That Devilbiss sponsored car has seen some success this past season in the Pirelli World Challenge in which it competes.

Abt Sportsline Audi R8
An Abt Sportsline R8 coupe is a rare occurrence at the SEMA Show, but we almost walked right past this example as it sat near the Pirelli Tire rig outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Murdered out wit black paint and black wheels, and sans the widebody look that was more common than not at SEMA, the car blended in with its environment. Quite obviously, it wore Pirelli’s latest rubber.

Fondmetal Audi R8
Another of the more subtler SEMA Audis was this R8 on the Motiv Luxury Wheel stand. That firm is the US distributor for German alloy wheel manufacturer Fondmetal and it featured their new 9STC-F1 wheel in black milled finish and fitted with Pirelli rubber.

MUTOH Audi R8
Okay, this car was essentially stock, albeit it was the only facelift Audi R8 we spied at SEMA. Frankly, it was there to do just one thing and that was to show off MUTOH‘s wrap technology. And, though we’ve seen wraps before, we appreciated the unique effect this carbon fiber style weave texture had on the R8’s stock red finish.

Audi R8 at Boltups.com
Apparently Boltups.com is social media for car guys. That’s the way it was pitched to us as we made our way over to the R8 on display in their booth outside the Las Vegas convention center.

What’s been done to the R8? Other than the vinyl graphics, the only other mod evident to us were the “lambo style doors”. We’re not sure the source, but we know reactions were at best mixed when we posted the shot to Instagram.
