One of the higher-visibility builds that wowed crowds in the early week at Wörthersee must certainly be this Audi R8 fielded by Rotiform’s own Brian Henderson. Though based in America, Henderson isn’t new to the Wörthersee field and has even shipped over his own personal cars in the past. This time around, the Rotiform co-founder turned to a few partners in order to create one very attention-grabbing ride.
Brian’s builds are almost always impossibly low, and often riding on air bags. This R8 is no exception. It rides on an e-Level air suspension from AccuAir complete with HP Drivetech air struts built on Bilstein Clubsport coilovers.
More aggressive looks begin with a widebody kit from Prior Design. From here the car embraces the burgeoning race livery vinyl wrap trend, turning to JJ Larson of AWOL and dubkorps fame to design a racing look that paid a stylistic nod to the classic Hugo Boss sponsored Procar BMW M1. Inside, the car sports a set of Cobra Seats embroidered with the Rotiform logo.
Of course, this is a Rotiform build, so the highlight is the brand’s new CCV wheel design. Given the additional width afforded by the Prior Design augmented bodywork, the car was able to be fitted with impressive 20×9.5 wheels at the front and 20×13 at the rear.
One final note is worth stating before finishing this story. In addition to a talented designer and car builder in his own right, dubkorps’ JJ Larson is also a talented filmographer. His AWOL.tv venture is already well known, so it is not surprising that his collaboration in this project also resulted in a beautifully shot feature short on the Boss R8. Watch it below.
