It’s good to be Graham Rahal. The IndyCar driver lists his personal garage as including a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, Porsche GT3 RS 4.0, 1964 MINI Cooper S, 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS Black Series, 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63S, 2014 Porsche GT3, 2002 Ducati MH900E and 2006 Ducati Paul Smart 1000 LE. Most of this incredible collection also features custom or tailored paint. So, if you’re Graham, what’s a great way to top off the garage? How about an Audi Exclusive RS 7 in Glut Orange?
Yesterday morning, Graham Rahal posted initial photos of the car over on TeamSpeed.com. The shots appear to be taken inside Audi’s facility in Neckarsulm and Rahal confirms they were of the car post production but before shipment. He lists the car as being “Solar Orange”, the other name for the German tag of Glut Orange. Whatever you call it, we think it’s cool. So does Rahal, who stated on TeamsSpeed, “I think its bold, but incredibly cool and rare.”
Judging by the photos, the car is an essentially loaded example. It’s made even more bold by the addition of the evil-looking carbon fiber optics package – something most of the early delivery RS 7s do not have. Inside, the car appears to have contrasting stitching in the same hue of orange, which is a cue that seems to work particularly well on those hexagonally quilted leather seats.
We’ve added Rahal’s photos to a gallery for this story, and have uploaded several in duplicate where we color-corrected the shots to try to better represent Glut/Solar Orange.
