Find of the Day: Nardo Grey Audi R8 competition with Classic Red Interior

Aficionados of the first-generation Audi R8 will tell you that the R8 competition was perhaps the peak of production. Essentially an R8 GT equivalent of the newer/faster/better facelifted R8, these super limited cars were effectively all bespoke. Even still, we’d wager a car like this Nardo Grey example with dark Classic Red interior qualifies as one of the coolest.

We’ve found this particular example with just 1,111 miles on it at the Toy Barn of Goshen (as in Goshen, Indiana) should you be interested. Here’s a rundown of the car’s spec.

Think of the R8 as almost everything that Audi does well — all-wheel drive, smooth and powerful engines, benchmark interiors — distilled into one potent pill. Highlighted by its iconic styling and unusually accessible performance, the 2015 Audi R8 maintains its special status as a midengine exotic sports car that you can drive every day of the week. Comfortable cabin; easy to drive fast or slow; quick-shifting automated-manual transmission; intoxicating soundtrack engine.

The limited-edition V10 Competition Coupe offers the highest-output available in the R8 lineup along with several aesthetic exterior trim upgrades that include matte-carbon sideblades, sport exhaust, and red brake calipers. It tops the range with 570 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. As enthralling as the R8 is to drive at a racetrack, you will love how it drives in mundane situations, too. Specifically, it offers decent ride comfort, exceptional outward visibility and comfortable seats, plus barely perceptible gearchanges with S tronic in automatic mode. It’s a supercar you could easily drive every day, and that’s not true of all contestants in this class.

This example is dressed in Audi Exclusive Nardo Gray over an exquisite Audi Exclusive Interior which consist of Black/Classic Red Fine Nappa leather with contrast stitching, Black/Classic Red steering wheel/handbrake, Black Fine Nappa leather air vents with Classic Red stitching, and Black Alcantara headliner with Classic Red diamond stitching. Other features and equipment include, Bang & Olufsen Sound System, Audi music interface with iPod cable, All-Wheel-Drive, LED Headlights, Heated Sport Seats, Auto-dimming Mirror with Compass, 3-Spoke Flat-bottom Steering Wheel with Shift Paddles, Navigation, Parking System with Rearview Camera, Sirius Satellite Radio, Matte Carbon Fiber exterior mirrors and door sills, Matte Carbon Fiber decorative inlays and center console, and much more!
