Audi Sport Team Phoenix celebrates the DTM Champion
With more than 400 guests in attendance, Audi Sport Team Phoenix celebrated Mike Rockenfeller’s DTM title win at the ‘Eifel Stadl’ at the Nürburgring on Saturday night – accompanied by spectacular fireworks and live music by the ‘Urban Club Band.’ Schaeffler Management Board Member for Development Prof. Peter Gutzmer presented the new DTM Champion and Team Director Ernst Moser with a painting of the victorious Schaeffler Audi RS 5 DTM.

Mike Rockenfeller presents car keys to DSV
For the DTM Champion Mike Rockenfeller the season is over but for the athletes of the German Ski Federation the action is now starting in earnest. To kick off the winter season, the skiers met for the traditional kitting out and car handover, held this time at the new Audi Used Car Center in Munich. ‘Rocky’ personally presented the keys to Viktoria Rebensburg, Felix Neureuther and company and wished the athletes the best of success for the Olympic season. Audi has been a partner of the DSV for three decades.

Filipe Albuquerque to run in GT Open finale
Audi factory driver Filipe Albuquerque will compete as a guest entrant in GT sport after the end of the DTM season. The Portuguese will be running in the finale of the GT Open racing series at Barcelona on November 10. The 28-year-old pro is sharing an Audi R8 LMS ultra of the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT with Yves Weerts, a co-owner of the Belgian customer sport squad, who occasionally races himself.

Birthday present for Timo Scheider
Audi factory driver Timo Scheider enjoyed a particularly sporty 35th birthday: the double DTM Champion and self-confessed motorbike fan was guest of Ducati and Sport1 at the MotoGP finale in Valencia, Spain, followed the title fight up close and was accordingly enthusiastic.
