Audi Sport News Update: DTM

Off-Road Action as Warm-up for the Lausitzring
That even 18 hp can be huge driving fun and an action-packed endeavor was experienced by the Audi DTM drivers Nico Müller and Mike Rockenfeller before the DTM race weekend at Lausitz. On the lakeshore of ‘Partwitzer See’ the two racing pros competed against each other on quads in the Audi DTM Challenge. After brief instructions and two trial laps, the two started their man-to-man duel on the off-road course. The winner after two fiercely fought sessions by a narrow margin was Nico Müller. “Nico was a tiny bit faster and more daring on track,” admitted Rockenfeller, “but both of us had huge fun.”

Mike Rockenfeller visited IFA in Berlin on Saturday and Sunday. At the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, the Audi driver and reigning DTM Champion at the stage talk of the ARD stand talked about his chances in the remaining three races of the season, fulfilled a large number of autograph wishes and was available for picture-taking alongside the Audi RS 5 DTM.

Audi quattro Cup with Mike Rockefeller
DTM Champion Mike Rockenfeller visited the Audi quattro Cup. At the German finale of the golf tournament at the Faldo Course Berlin, the Audi driver practiced a few shots and assisted Alexander Schuhmacher, Director of Sales Region East, in the awards ceremony and presentation of the prizes. Audi, for the first time, offered sailing with the pros from Audi Sailing Team Germany as a hospitality program. “That was a successful, well-rounded and varied event under the Audi banner,” said Mike Rockenfeller, expressing his pleasure about his visit.
