Audi Sport TT Cup: van der Linde Dominates at Hockenheimring Season Opener

This weekend at the 2016 Audi Sport TT Cup season opener, 16 year old rookie Sheldon van der Linde absolutely dominated the field, making the most of his opportunity to impress both spectators and Audi Sport personnel by winning both contests.  Even though van der Linde went two-for-two on the weekend, racing was still quite close, causing Head of Audi Sport customer racing Chris Reinke to comment that he expects “close races and plenty of variety on the podium” in the series going forward.

Star drivers Scott Speed and Andreas Mikkelsen achieved good results on the weekend as well, with both placing within the top ten in the first race.  The second race proved a bit more challenging for the two, as Mikkelsen served a drive-through penalty for a false start, and Speed started from the back of the pack.
