Audi Is New Partner of Schuco Open 2012

Audi is complementing its extensive program in golf by a high-caliber commitment. The automaker based in Ingolstadt will be partnering with the Schüco Open held this year at Golf und Land Club Gut Kaden on July 28 and 29. Audi is equipping the shuttle fleet with 35 automobiles and donating an R8 Spyder as a “hole-in-one” prize.

The Schüco Open are held for the fourth time and are regarded as the largest invitational tournament in Germany. In 2011, more than 20,000 spectators watched the action. This year, in addition to the German star Martin Kaymer, the current Masters Champion Bubba Watson, China’s number one Liang Wen¬chong and last year’s winner Ian Poulter are expected. After Bielefeld, Halle/Westphalia and Düsseldorf, the golfers are meeting at the 18-hole facility on the outskirts of Hamburg for the first time.

In May, Audi was Presenting Sponsor of the UniCredit Ladies German Open, the most important German ladies golf tournament, for the fifth time, and as co-sponsor supports a tournament of the European Senior Tour, the Berenberg Bank Masters. Among the amateurs, the Audi quattro Cup, held in as much as its 22nd year, is highly popular worldwide, attracting around 80,000 participants every year.
