#ThrowbackThursday: The Backstory of Truth in 24


With the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship rapidly approaching, we figured it would be a good time to look back at what arguably made Audi Sport’s WEC effort universally loved and respected- Audi and NFL Film’s “Truth in 24.” The brainchild of Audi of America’s then Chief Marketing Officer and current CEO Scott Keogh, and former Chief Communications Officer Jeff Kuhlman, the film’s goal was simple: make Audi a mainstream brand through championing their successes in motorsport.

But like all stories, there are two distinct perspectives to this one.  Back in 2009, George focused in on Audi’s perspective (which you can read here), detailing the inner workings within AoA and the Audi Sport team.  Matt Farrah’s Garage 419 took a slightly different approach, sitting down with NFL Films, detailing the learning curve and processes involved with coming in to a shoot not knowing much about the sport or its personalities.  That interview can be found below.
