Widebody Air4 Avant Feature from eGarage and AccuAir
posted by George Achorn on 9 January 2013 in Video
Like it or not, there’s no denying that the air suspension scene is a huge growth segment of the Audi enthusiast world. What was once relegated to the likes of ’64 Impalas and mini trucks has moved in on the European scene and are often paired with tailored and jaw-dropping details. Take for example AccuAir’s widebody Air4 Avant.
This black wagon came onto the radar of most Audi fans when it went on display at the 2012 SEMA show. The new RS 4 was barely out in Germany and it turns out that AccuAir went and built their own, complete with RS 5 style chin and custom steel fender arches that make a real RS 4 look skinny in comparison.
There’s a lot more to know about the Air4, so we were curious when a buddy from eGarage sent us this video below. Often we expect this sort of link to include lots of pretty shots of a car and some royalty free music, but we found much more. eGarage took the time to tell the story of the car, interviewing the main players involved in its build. For instance, we learned this car didn’t start out as a facelifted A4 allroad as originally thought, but as a 2010 B8 (pre-facelift) A4 Avant.
