André Lotterer Rumored for Caterham F1 Drive in Belgian GP Says Autosport

AutoSport magazine has published an interesting story this morning, suggesting Audi WEC factory driver and 2014 Le Mans winner André Lotterer may compete in a Caterham F1 car at the Belgian Grand Prix. While the WEC is on its summer break period, Lotterer has had time to explore other things including Japanese Super Formula Championship with TOM’s. He’s also set to run the Audi R18 at a Misano test this week according to his social media posts.

Positive Life Cycle Assessment for New Audi TT

Dynamic performance and efficiency: The new Audi TT* impressively combines both qualities. Compared with the predecessor model, the compact sports car scores high with an increase in power output of up to 14 percent and a simultaneous decrease in greenhouse gas emissions of 11 percent. As the premium vehicle manufacturer states in its new life cycle assessment of the third-generation TT, this means that each car in the series saves around 5.5 tonnes of greenhouse gases over its entire life cycle. This includes not just carbon dioxide, but other substances such as methane, nitrous oxide and halogenated organic emissions.

The whole purpose for a project is to make progress with an object. In this case, it is obviously a vehicle and even more so Audi’s newest small sedan the A3. The new MQB chassis that the A3 is based on will be shared between various models of the Volkswagen Group family but the A3 was the first one to market here in the United States, beating out its hatch-backed cousin the Volkswagen GTI by several weeks. One of the biggest benefits to this new platform is chassis rigidity and stiffness as well as the use of more expensive but lightweight materials. All of this is to build a very strong and light car, but to enthusiasts it means less weight, better handling, braking, and acceleration. More…
