Turns out the brand’s new small crossover has been released from port and will be in your dealership shortly. To go with that, the marketing blitz has begun.

Audi today debuts a new advertising campaign for the all-new 2015 Audi A3 sedan. The campaign kicks off with a 60-second television commercial called “Dues” starring comedian Ricky Gervais, celebrity chef David Chang, internationally-acclaimed photojournalist Lynsey Addario, comedian Kristen Schaal, gold medal winning boxer Claressa Shields, street artists Cyrcle, and inner city church choir Voices of Destiny. Audi has begun the big tease ahead of this year’s Super Bowl commercial. The team from Audi of America has already confirmed that the spot will focus on the new A3 sedan due out this spring, and that becomes even more obvious when you watch the several teaser clips below.

‘It Couldn’t Be Done’ Children’s Book & Video Carry On Where Audi Commercial Left Off

Back in May, Audi released a television spot dubbed It Couldn’t Be Done as part of a ‘Truth in Engineering’ campaign at the time. The spot used a poem by Edgar Guest as the basis for a Suess-like take on the Audi story, backed as it was with historical imagery from the brand’s long heritage. Though it may not have immediately looked the part, that the ad had a storybook feel to it apparently wasn’t lost on Audi’s marketing people and thus a new children’s storybook illustrated by Ty Mattson of Mattson Creative has been created.

Audi to Advertise in Super Bowl XLVIII with Spot for the All-New A3

Audi of America today announced its return to the Super Bowl with a :60 spot featuring the all-new Audi A3. The seventh consecutive Super Bowl ad for the brand will air during the big game on February 2, 2014, in the first in-game break after the 3rd quarter kick-off, in the final position of the advertising break.

“The Station” TDI Commercial from Audi of America May Prove Familiar for Those Already Driving Diesel Cars

A :60 television spot “The Station”, and two new :15 spots, “Future” and “Range,” debut today on television and online, show drivers the benefits of clean diesel technology including increased performance and range, and cleaner emissions. For the 2014 model year Audi is expanding its lineup with the all-new A6, A7 and Q5 TDI, along with the newly-introduced A8 L TDI and highly successful Q7 TDI.

Audi Taps Moby Dick Analogy Yet Again in New ‘Ahab Redux’ Commercial

Audi of America and its agency Venables Bell have released their latest A6-focused TV spot to YouTube today and it becomes quickly apparent that they’ve again tapped Moby Dick. No, there’s no John Bonham drum solo, this is a reference of the Melville variety.

Let’s face it, the bar for television commercials starring race cars isn’t set particularly high. Dale Jr. trading his NASCAR cup car for a lowly can of Mountain Dew may only be ” believable” to those critical of going fast and turning left, while a lost couple in an Infiniti sedan somehow pulling alongside a Red Bull F1 car at speed on the streets of Monaco in their search for directions is downright lame. Fortunately, Audi Germany has bucked this temptation of unnatural and gratuitous placement and made it all seem quite natural in their new spot dubbed “Perfect Fit”. More…
