A next-generation MLB-evo based Audi Q7 test mule has been spied again testing at the Nürburgring in Germany. This time around, the car bears a few obvious clues that it is a hybrid version and likely a plug-in hybrid that would qualify it for the e-tron moniker in the Audi naming lexicon.

The Audi A3 e-tron has hit the market in Europe, and as such the section on the car is fully functional on the Audi Deutschland German market consumer website. This includes elements like configurator tool, media gallery and also downloadable product brochures in PDF form.

Audi and Thjnk Ad Agency Toy with TESLA

You may not know of Thjnk, but if you read this website then you’ve seen their work. The German ad agency were the minds behind the ‘Welcome Challenges’ video that welcomed Porsche back to Le Mans with a video featuring Dindo Capello and giant smokey R18 burnouts. Seems they’re not at a loss for sass following the hard-fought Le Mans victory and have now “welcomed” electric car manufacturer to their new home in Jungfernstieg with a snarky billboard featuring the A3 e-tron. The Audi A3 Sportback e-tron Sales Start in Europe

The first plug-in hybrid from Audi, the A3 Sportback e-tron*, is now available to order for customers in Europe. Approximately 410 Audi dealers in Europe – including no fewer than 105 in Germany – are selling the A3 e-tron at a basic price of 37,900 euros on the German market. An individual installation check, the “e-tron plus” special package and “green” power from Audi complete the offering for the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron. The compact electric car will be handed over to its first customers this winter.

Intel coming from AutoExpress Magazine is that Audi will add a second e-tron model following the A3 e-tron with a new A8 e-tron. Even more interesting, this newer and more luxurious offering will feature a 3.0 TDI as range extender versus the 1.4 TFSI petrol of the A3. No doubt about it, the first place we always go when we arrive at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt is building A50. Unlike the round glass-enclosed museum mobile with its paternoster car rotisserie, Cafe A51 that’ll make you a cappuccino with a four-ring dusting of cocoa, the rather nondescript building A50 is where Audi’s board members work.
