There’s no doubt about it. The 12-brand strong Volkswagen Group has become an automotive multinational the likes have not been seen before. Management of this ever-growing monolith is a challenge, and the powers that be in Wolfsburg are considering a new structure in a post Ferdinand Piech era. Interestingly, it appears they’re looking to a model in use by Audi as a guide for a new and decentralized way of doing business.
