The etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben proved a good stomping ground for ex-DTM driver Christian Abt in the 2009 season; Abt lifted the ADAC GT Masters title at the circuit. Four years later, the newly formed team Prosperia C. Abt Racing composed of Christian Abt, Christopher Mies (23, Germany) and René Rast (26, Germany) triumphed at the season-opener in an Audi R8 after going on a superb charge up the field. From 15th position on the grid, the Audi drivers achieved victory in the first race of the season. Phoenix Racing will put two Audi R8 LMS ultra cars sporting the elegant black-white design of its new partner G-Drive on the grid at the Nürburgring 24 Hours held over the Pentecost weekend (17 to 20 May). Ernst Moser’s team is aiming to repeat last year’s victory in partnership with G-Drive fuel, the premium brand of the Russian oil company Gazprom Neft, and Audi Sport customer racing. The ADAC GT Masters is gearing up for a spectacular start to the season over the weekend of 26th – 28th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The Super Sports Car League enters the 2013 season with a field of 25 supercars, a roll call of celebrity names from Formula 1 and DTM, plus exciting new teams and driver partnerships.
