Audi Sport puts a lot of work into making sure that its cars can compete against the competition. But what happens when they compete against each other?
CarWow sought to find out, pitting an RS3 against an RS5 against an S4 Avant against a B7 RS4. And the results are surprisingly close.
Naturally, there’s a bit of a gap between the S4 and the newer RS fare. But even though it’s a diesel, it competes remarkably well against the old RS4. In fact, in the quarter-mile, it beats the old V8—although it’s by less than a car length.
The RS3, meanwhile, also does surprisingly well against the RS5. Although the RS5 ends up winning, the little 5-cylinder is just 0.4 seconds behind it.
The moral of the story? It doesn’t really matter which Audi you get as long as you love it.
